Mini Pocket Multi-Tool - MT-98
Our Mini Multi-tool is compact and lightweight, and is ideal as a small, unobtrusive pocket multi-tool for anyone whereby pliers in a multi-tool are a requirement. Features:
This little multi-tool actually ticks a lot of boxes as a compact and lightweight, camping tool. Though it should be said that the pliers are for light duty use only; Ideal for holding or picking up small items, when fingers may be too big and clumsy, and indeed for light duty tightening or untightening of small nuts and bolts. Just don’t expect to be able to undo a 13mm nut from a rusty car chassis! One thing I should add, and this is one of the reasons why we opted to supply this particular tiny multi-tool as one of our selection, is that, although it does not feature a locking blade, the blade does ‘click’ open and seats nicely while providing a good resistance to being folded back closed. This in itself, whilst still UK legal, does provide a little more safety from a users point of view than a blade that will fold with very little resistance. |
Our MT-98 is a very compact and lightweight multitool. It is small enough to comfortably carry in a pocket, but also features a carabiner for clipping it to a belt loop or other.

Camping Multi-Tool - MT-132
There are many, many camping multi-tools available on the market, so we researched this quite hard and finally decided on supplying this model as a very decent multi-tool for use on campsites. When it comes to a good quality multi-tool at a decent price, then this multi-tool covers most of the bases nicely. The MT-132 is well made, a good size to handle and features most of the tools that you might require when camping on campsites. Not that you would want to wave it about in public, but being a non-locking blade at under 3 inches in length, this camping multi-tool is UK legal to carry in public. With the MT-132's tool set offerings, it is likely more valuable as a regular camping site and perhaps hiking multi-tool than an outright backpacking multi-tool. Features:
|
Not as small or light as our MT-98, but the MT-132 fits comfortably in the hand and is a more substantial tool.

Backpacker’s Multi-Tool - MT-136
Our all stainless steel MT-136 Backpacker’s Multi-Tool is a far more substantial unit, with more features that are likely to be useful when out in the sticks, backpacking, wild camping or camping away from civilisation. Now, this multi-tool features a locking blade, so care has to be taken as to where you use it – it is not a knife to be taken with you in public when grocery shopping, or to work with you at the office, or on the bus with you, etc. You don’t want to be flashing this tool around in public, however it is quite legitimate to take with you out on camping and backpacking trips and adventures. See UK Knife Law HERE. Of the three multi-tool options that we supply, this is the multi-tool that you would want with you on a multi-day backpacking trip, especially if you intend to be out in the woods, wild camping in remote destinations. And indeed this is now our preferred backpacking multi-tool and the one we take with us on our adventures. Not only does the blade lock open, but so too do all of the other tools on this multi-tool, so it is very stable in use and inherently safe to use. Features:
Our MT-136 is a very well made, sturdy, relatively lightweight and compact multi-tool with some very useful features along with great functionality. With its very decent blade and all locking tools providing a good safety element, the MT-136 is not only a great tool to carry with you backpacking, but it's a damn fine looking piece of equipment to boot! |
