Our new STATION13 Backpacker tent is, to put it simply, a non-camouflage version of the very popular GeerTop BLAZER lightweight one person tent.
Whilst the camouflage GeerTop BLAZER tent is great for stealth or wild camping, of course the blokey, military look is not for everyone. With this in mind we asked GeerTop to specially manufacture a non-camo version of the tent that would appeal to a greater range of people. This resulted in our STATION13 Backpacker tent with an all round Olive Drab Green colour flysheet.
The size specifications of our Backpacker tents are identical to the original GeerTop BLAZER tents, but there are a few differences, most though are just cosmetic. As far as the cosmetic changes go, they are: the colour of the flysheet (Olive Drab Green), the colour of the tent pegs (gold - anodised), the colour of the tent poles (green - anodised), and the inclusion of high visibility reflective guylines. The non-cosmetic difference, being that the hydrostatic head of our new Backpacker tent is very slightly superior to the original GeerTop BLAZER. Whereas the original GeerTop BLAZER tent has an all round hydrostatic head of 2500mm, the flysheet and floor of our new Backpacker tent has a hydrostatic head of 3000mm.
GeerTop supplied our Backpacker tents with two guylines and twelve tent pegs, and whilst strictly speaking, you can get away with two guylines and twelve tent pegs, we do feel that the tent is better served with four guylines and an additional three tent pegs, particularly when faced with more adverse weather conditions. These additional guylines and tent pegs do push up the total tent weight by around 30 grams (with aluminium tent pegs), but they are there if you need them, and if you don't deem these extra items as necessary, you can simply remove them.
Our Backpacker tent is also available with the option of our Superlite 5g titanium hook tent pegs, which brings the over all weight of the tent down to 1.43kg.
The Olive Drab Green flysheet is itself a stealthy colour, so should you decide to wild camp, then just switching out the reflective guylines for something less noticeable would be all that is needed.

Please note that the above photos of our Backpacker Tent erected were taken in very bright sunlight which has washed out the colour somewhat. The actual flysheet colour is better represented in the photos of the packed tent below.
