Filterwell: Pocket Water Filter
At just around 50 grams these water filters are very light to carry and easy to use. These filters allow you to drink water from numerous outdoor sources, such as rivers and streams without the concern of becoming ill. These filters can alleviate the need to carry large, heavy volumes of fresh water as you can simply filter from available water sources as you go. And of course in some extreme situations may become lifesavers. For peace of mind, if backpacking miles from anywhere, and for such a minor weight penalty, these little water filters are worth having on you - even if you never have cause to use it. We are in the process of acquiring a selection of plastic camping and backpacking accessories.
We have found that it is very difficult to find some of these accessories, and also that those that are commonly available are often made from inferior plastic such as ABS or even PVC.
Our accessories are all made from polyoxymethylene or POM for short. POM is an extremely tough and resilient thermoplastic, that will not stretch, deform or become pliable in hotter conditions, whilst still maintaining high strength and impact resistance under colder temperatures.
We will have too many items to list on our website so we will be listing and supplying these via our eBay shop - a link to which will become available when we have these items in stock. We are expecting to have delivery of these items sometime towards the end of October 2023.

Our 8.5mm replacement tent poles have been so successful, so quickly, that we have decided to now also supply aluminium alloy 7001-T6 tent poles in a 9.5mm diameter. So we will have in stock the two most popular tent pole diameters for smaller camping tents and lightweight backpacking tents.
We will be providing replacement 9.5mm tent poles in set lengths and again, as with our 8.5mm tent poles, also in modified lengths to suit individual requirements. And again, we will be selling these via our eBay shop, a link to which will be provided once we have these tent poles in stock.

This means, not only will we be able to provide replacement poles for our own tents, but we can also provide replacement tent poles for many tents requiring 8.5mm tent poles. We plan to provide replacement 8.5mm tent poles in set lengths and also modified lengths to suit individual requirements.
Initially we will only be supplying replacement tent poles with an outer diameter of 8.5mm. Though we understand that some tents us 9mm and 9.5mm tent poles, 8.5mm is probably the most common size tent pole used in one and two person backpacking tents, and can often be used as an upgrade to replace many of the thinner 7.9mm tent poles.

STATION13 - STORMBORN

Currently in production, our STORMBORN is a larger 2 person tent designed not only to provide ample sleeping quarters for two people, but a large vestibule/porch space for storage and cooking. Being semi-geodesic the STORMBORN can also handle some of the harsher weather and winds that other designs can fall foul of.
At around 3.4kg, the STORMBORN makes for a roomy bikepacking or motorcycle/car camping tent. |
Some solo backpackers often prefer the larger size of a two person tent for the extra room and comfort they afford, but at around 3.4kg, and if backpacking, the STORMBORM is best suited as a two person sharing tent. When the tent is shared between two people the resulting weight burden would then effectively be less than that of most single person tents. The STORMBORN is a roomy tent which can actually sleep 3 people at a push, still with space for kit.
